iSymphonic Orchestra is equipped with features such as Audio Unit, Inter-App Audio, AudioBus, and Bluetooth LE MIDI support. These features enable seamless audio and MIDI connections between other audio apps, offering a truly comprehensive musical experience.
The ultimate objective of iSymphonic Orchestra is to deliver unparalleled realism and breathtaking orchestral sounds from the moment you strike the first key on your MIDI keyboard. With a wide range of meticulously recorded and processed sounds, this app provides you with the necessary tools for a captivating live performance or a burst of creativity during song composition. Furthermore, there are 297 additional sounds available for purchase through in-app options. These include sound sets such as "Pro-", "Arpa-", "Canto-", "Boato-", "Vento-", "Ottone-", "Voce-", "Varia-", "Perla-", "Aulos-", "Keys-", "Cupra-", "Organ-", "Tosca-", and "Corda". The app boasts impressive general features including low latency disk streaming, an efficient audio engine, polyphony capable of several hundred stereo voices, and audio latency as low as 1ms. It also offers integrated effects with 18 presets, 16 parts, scale tuning and master tune capabilities, a MIDI velocity response curve editor, and app states that allow you to save and recall user presets. With an intuitive and quick sound finder, you can easily locate the perfect sound for any performance or composition. Additionally, the app can run in the background, so you can utilize other apps while playing on your keyboard. This feature is particularly useful for displaying scores or browsing the internet while practicing.
The Hermode Tuning feature mimics the tuning behavior of highly skilled musicians in orchestras and choirs, providing a more authentic musical experience. Furthermore, the app includes an Audio Unit v3 Plugin, supports Apple's "Inter-App Audio" (IAA) system, and offers Audiobus support. The virtual on-screen piano keyboard comes complete with velocity support, making it user-friendly and adaptable to your preferences.
In addition to its impressive musical capabilities, iSymphonic Orchestra also functions as a MIDI player and recorder. You can easily record, save, and load your songs in standard MIDI file format. The unlimited number of tracks allows for endless creativity, and each track can be individually configured with a MIDI channel. Recordings and playback can be of any length, and you can open MIDI files directly from other apps such as Safari or Mail. For practice purposes, the built-in metronome and "Tempo Zoom" dial knob allow you to slow down playback and learn your favorite songs more easily.
